Final walk for this year, Sunday 26 October, ‘Around the public houses of St Leonards on Sea’

Following the popularity of the previous walks, I have decided to put on a final walk this year on Sunday 26 October around the public houses of St Leonards, both former and existing. I talk about the history of licensing beerhouses and public houses, and tell some stories about what went on in the pubs. Much of it is amusing !

The walk is free for Society members, but a £5 donation in cash is requested from non-members on the day.

Places are limited, so please book via info@bsls.org.uk with name(s) and email or mobile number so that I can give the starting place in St Leonards. Please also indicate if you are a Member of the Society.

It will start at 2 pm. The walk starting place will be sent to those booking. The walk ends at the Horse and Groom pub, Mercatoria, St Leonards, TN38 0EB.

The walk will last around 90 minutes. It will be slow, on level ground.
